We accept most major insurances and we offer sliding scale rates. Our virtual services offer convenience and flexibility.
Daisy Chow founded Purposeful Living Mental Health Counseling to provide affordable, high-quality trauma therapy to New Yorkers. All of our therapists are trauma-informed and our goal is to provide a safe space for all of our clients.

Let's face it….life is hard. It is even harder to reach out for help. But you are here and that took a lot of courage. We commend you for taking that first step to feel better. We are here to help you overcome your challenges and guide you on your path to healing and growth.
Our aim is to provide a safe space for you to share your struggles and challenges. Together we will determine your goals for treatment. We will identify any barriers that may be preventing you from healing.
We want you to walk out of each session feeling better about yourself and the future. Through our work together you will achieve emotional freedom.
What's does the process look like?
First, we will have a free 15 min consultation call to determine if we would be a good fit for you. We will ask you about your reasons for seeking therapy, what your current challenges are, your mental health history and your tentative goals for treatment.
The first session we will look into what is causing your symptoms and explore treatment options. We will discuss your desired goals and what you can expect.
You will start noticing an increase in self-awareness. You will learn coping skills to manage your anxious thoughts. You will be able to identify faulty thought patterns that have been holding you back.
What approaches do we use to help you?
Our approach incorporates CBT and EMDR which are evidenced-based therapies. CBT teaches us to notice our thoughts and how they affect how we feel and behave. EMDR can provide relief to trauma survivors who experience flashbacks or nightmares. We also incorporate IFS, Shamed-Informed and Compassion-Focused therapies.
