About Me
I am a Mental Health Counseling limited permit holder with a graduate degree in Mental Health Counseling. I completed my graduate program at Mercy College and did extensive training in an inpatient setting where I treated individuals facing a range of social, emotional and behavioral issues. Through the development of a strong, trusting therapeutic relationship, I am committed to engaging in a warm, encouraging, and trusting relationship with clients to help them achieve both emotional and interpersonal well-being.
My Specialties
I specialize in working with young adults and adults struggling with depression, anxiety, ADD/ADHD, relationship challenges, self-esteem and eating disorders.
What Inspired Me To Be A Therapist
I believe that therapy is not just a job, but a reflection of my core values and passion for helping others. My goal as a therapist is to empower individuals to overcome personal challenges and achieve a healthier mindset. Through a combination of empathetic listening, evidence-based techniques, and collaborative problem-solving, I guide my clients to develop the skills and strategies they need to succeed in both their personal and professional lives.
My Approach
As a therapist, my approach to treatment is centered on the unique needs of each individual client. I believe that one size does not fit all when it comes to therapy, and I work closely with my clients to create a personalized treatment plan that suits their specific circumstances.
My approach incorporates elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy, which have all been shown to be effective in addressing a range of mental health conditions. By working together, we can identify the challenges in your life and develop strategies to improve your overall quality of life.
When I'm Not Working, I Like to...
Incorporate fitness into my lifestyle, as well hiking, camping and anything outdoors.
