About Me
I am a mental health counselor at Purposeful Living Mental Health Counseling. I received my undergraduate degree from Skidmore College and my Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling at Hunter College.
My Specialties
As a therapist, my primary focus is on adults and young adults who find themselves facing various mental health challenges. Anxiety and depression are two of the most common issues I encounter, and I am deeply committed to supporting individuals as they navigate these experiences. Additionally, I assist clients in managing the stressors of everyday life, whether it be work-related pressures, relationship difficulties, or other external factors that may contribute to a high-stress environment.
Furthermore, I understand that life transitions can be incredibly tough to navigate, and my goal is to provide a safe and supportive space for individuals as they navigate through these changes. Whether it’s adjusting to a new job, relocating to a different city, or finding oneself in a different stage of life, it can feel overwhelming. I am here to help clients explore their emotions and develop coping mechanisms to facilitate a smoother transition process.
Interpersonal challenges and self-esteem are also areas I specialize in. Relationships and how we perceive ourselves can significantly impact our mental well-being. Therefore, I work with clients to improve communication skills, foster healthier relationships, and develop a more positive self-image. By addressing these issues, individuals can cultivate a sense of fulfillment and inner confidence.
What Inspired Me To Be A Therapist
How we act, think, and feel is unique to every individual and I know first-hand how investigating the how and why of our inner world can bring release, relief, and peace. It takes courage to embark on this work; I aim to support and champion your greatest source of strength: yourself.
My Approach
Overall, my approach is client-centered, tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual I work with. I provide a warm, non-judgmental environment where clients can freely express themselves and find the support they need to overcome their struggles. Together, we will work towards creating positive change and equipping clients with the tools to maintain their mental well-being in the long run.
